Rare Antique Brunswick Balke Collender Billiard Pool Ball Rack With Mirror. The rack measures about 54"x26-1/4"x4. It appears there originally were billiard stick holders attached to both sides of the frame.
There are four shelves on the lower portion which house the balls. A decal/stencil in that area states Patented March 26, 1912 The Brunswick Balke Collender Company, some of which is worn away due to the balls rubbing against it. The mirror, unsure if original, is not chipped or broken, but does have an area about midway on the reverse, where the paint is scratched and there are slight flaws throughout, reminiscent of an aged mirror. The upper two sides have a decorative wood inlay pattern. The wood is scuffed, chipped and scratched, but I have no doubt it could come back to life with some furniture oil and a bit of expertise.
This 107 year old billiard rack would be a magnificent addition to a prized game room and an exceptional conversation piece.
